Some pieces simply have a warmth that only comes with time, and this beautiful antique chest of drawers is a wonderful example. A handsome and practical four-drawer chest with richly figured veneer, warm mellow colouring and the character and patina that only genuine antique furniture can offer.
The four generously proportioned drawers provide excellent storage, making this a lovely piece for a bedroom, hallway, sitting room or dining space. Brass oval handles, crossbanded drawer fronts and substantial turned feet complete the traditional design, while its simple proportions allow it to sit comfortably within both period and more contemporary interiors.
The chest has been sympathetically cleaned and prepared whilst retaining the marks, variations and imperfections acquired through age. There are areas of historic wear and some small veneer losses/imperfections, all of which are shown within the photographs. These have deliberately not been over-restored, allowing the piece to retain its honest antique character and beautifully aged finish.
