Details
A lovely vintage Meredew cabinet from the 1960s, with beautifully figured veneers
Originally designed as a dressing table, this is one of those pieces that can be used almost anywhere in the home. It would work equally well as a compact sideboard, hallway cabinet, media unit or bedroom chest, offering plenty of storage without taking up too much space.
The cupboard doors have particularly attractive book-matched veneers, while the contrasting ivory top drawer adds a distinctive design feature that was original to this Meredew range. Raised on elegant tapered legs with original brass feet, it has a lovely light feel despite offering generous storage.
It has two cupboards and three central drawers, making it an ideal piece for storage
A really versatile piece that would sit comfortably in both period and contemporary homes, whether styled in an English country interior or alongside other mid-century furniture.
Appx Dimensions:
44.5'' W x 27.25''H x 18''D
Considered in good condition for its age , does show marks and some wear to note around the top either side but as you can see from the photographs this does not really detract from the piece that it is. the surface front and sides are all in very good condition for its age. The drawer has always been a contrast colour but at some point I think it may have been touched up with a fresh coat.
